P.E.A.C.E. is an extracurricular educational program that provides innovative programming in an enriching environment where our children and the community work together to become expressive and enlightened citizens of the world.

P.E.A.C.E. or Progressive Educational Alternatives to Cultivate and Enlighten Youth is just that. We provide classes and plan events that feed a child's curiosity and foster creativity. Our method is based strongly on personal experience in the arts, the fitness industry and working with children in conjunction with the four main elements of peace: personal, social, international and environmental; and the life teachings of child peace advocate Mattie Stepanek who encouraged children to make peace an attitude, a habit, a reality. THE OPPORTUNITY FOR P.E.A.C.E.

Funding for physical and arts education is decreasing. Parents are spending greater amounts of time at work while the media is entertaining our youth. The numbers of obese children are increasing and P.E.A.C.E. plans on combatting this by offering classes in dance, art and yoga (in the future we hope to add offerings in nutrition, fitness and experimental science) to encourage a healthy head start that leads to a balanced life. There is power in movement that provides strength to the body and mind through heightened activity delivered in an environment that creates a more relaxed tone which teaches how to comfortably control emotions and transitions of activity levels in life's experiences.

THE P.E.A.C.E. OFFERING

P.E.A.C.E. offers classes in art, creative movement, ballet, fitness dance and yoga. These extracurricular activities are held after school and on the weekends. Our progressive educational alternatives are based on the four elements of peace. By combining music, storytelling, and interactive games we awaken the child’s imagination. They will learn new things while learning about themselves and others. P.E.A.C.E. promises that your child’s confidence, self-esteem and love of self will grow. Check out our P.E.A.C.E. While our mission is to educate children, it takes a village and we believe it is important to involve parents and the community in the pursuit of peace. Adult and mommy and me classes will be offered. We look forward to planning more family events in the future. P.E.A.C.E. in the Parks is our community based effort where we bring our offerings to the community and teach in the parks of the City of Miami and Miami Dade County.
